Founded by Jason Paul Michaels and the SMC crew, Standard Motorcycle Co. is different things to different people.
To locals, we are Florida's first and only Co-op Motorcycle Garage and Educational Facility. Within our walls members can work on their motorcycles in a creative and collaborative atmosphere leaning on and learning from one another to maintain, repair and customize their motorcycles.
To non-locals, we will (once our Kickstarter is funded) be the industries leading source for relevant, high-quality, fun and engaging technical content through our Streaming Technical Library. Subscribers will be able to learn from industry experts on everything from wheel building, to suspension tuning to design and engineering, we're going to cover it all!
What we are currently experiencing in motorcycling has not occurred since the late sixties and early seventies. For the first time since then, an entirely new generation of motorcyclists is coming into the fold.
In a world that is digitally driven, craft and skill have all but disappeared. The Standard Motorcycle Co-op recognizes this and is situated to be a springboard for the next generation of motorcycle builders and contributors to moto culture. By creating both a physical & digital platform where like-minded enthusiasts can congregate, share ideas, and help one another, we believe we can help perpetuate the growth of motorcycling as a whole, while keeping it fun, engaging, and educational.
We are pioneering motorcycle education by utilizing industry experts to bring subscribers of our DIY Tech Library access to fun, engaging feature quality content that cannot be found anywhere else. Frame building, sheet metal fabrication, suspension tuning, and an extensive array of technical workshops will be accessible 24 hours a day no matter where you might be.
Imagine learning frame geometry from Kevin Dunworth of Loaded Gun Customs, metal shaping from Marlowe Buelvas of Rusted Jalopy, design theory from Roland Sands or suspension tuning from an AMAPro Race Mechanic. Through our industry relationships, these one-on-one learning opportunities available nowhere else, will be made available to members no matter where they live through our Digital Technical Library. And of course, there will also be content around basic maintenance and even information on how to properly setup your own home garage.
Through access to our DIY Tech Library, members who do not have the time or financial resources to devote to long-term traditional education can learn at their own pace developing real-world skills as it pertains to maintaining and building custom motorcycles, simply by signing on and streaming our content anytime, anywhere.
